3. PFASへの対応に関する政策
-米国環境保護庁 (EPA): 毒性物質規制法 (TSCA) を通じて PFAS を管理します。
-2022年9月30日現在：31州が203のPFAS関連規制を実施または準備している
4. PFASを禁止している州:
- カリフォルニア州: 2025 年 1 月 1 日より PFAS を含むすべての新しい繊維および生地の使用を禁止 (AB 1817)。
-コロラド州: 1月1日からPFASを含むカーペット、布地処理、食品包装、子供用製品、ガス製品の禁止。
2024年（HB 22-1345）。
- メリーランド州: 2024 年 1 月 1 日より、PFAS を含む食品包装、カーペット、消火泡剤の使用を禁止 (SB 273)。
-ミネソタ州: 2024 年 1 月 1 日より PFAS を含むカーペットおよび布地処理の禁止 (SF No. 20)。
-バーモント州：2023年10月1日からPFASを含むカーペットおよびカーペット防水加工の禁止（法律第36号）
世界的な規制動向
34 州が有害化学物質から人々を守るために301 の政策を導入しました。
28州で145の州政策が採択されました。
PFASへの対処に関する政策
1. Definition :
-Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS): A group of chemicals where hydrogen atoms in hydrocarbons are replaced with fluorine atoms, resulting in strong carbon-fluorine bonds. This group includes various compounds such as perfluorosulfonic acids with six or more carbons and perfluorocarboxylic acids with seven or more carbons, along with their salts.
2. Characteristics and Uses :
-Characteristics: PFAS are thermally and chemically stable, making them resistant to degradation. They are used extensively across industries due to their water-repellent, stain-resistant, and heat-resistant properties.
-Uses: Commonly used in leather and automotive surface treatments, non-stick cookware coatings, paper, wraps, fast-food packaging, and firefighting foams due to their durability and resistance to heat.
3. Toxicity :
Toxicity: PFAS are highly persistent in the environment and accumulate in living organisms. They are not easily broken down and can only be degraded through high temperature and pressure incineration, posing significant environmental and health risks.
